Solution Architects are key members of this new Enterprise Architecture team & are dediated to support Product teams, with 5 Key Responsibilities : 

1. Business-Technology Alignment

• Engage with Product teams to understand product requirements and priorities, ensuring alignment with business goals.

• Translate business needs into a solution design that fit within our client’s enterprise architecture framework (Architecture Documents , HLDs & LLDs) .

• Act as a consultant to guide business transformation initiatives and ensure architecture decisions enable business agility and innovation.

2. Solution Architecture Design and Delivery

• Develop and maintain the current and future state architecture of the assigned product.

• Provide solution blueprints and technical designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards (e.g., TOGAF).

• Ensure data continuity between the products in his scope and other products

• Prepare environments and the development cycle for the solution

• Produces architecture deliverables to validate technical Gates

• Define and Control execution of solution’s technical KPIs

• Support agile delivery by guiding development teams in implementing scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions.

3. Governance and Standards Management

• Collaborate with the Digiteam Design Authority & Enterprise Architecture team to ensure product compliance with our client architectural principles.

• Proactively identify technical debt within the product and propose strategies for its resolution.

• Contribute to the creation and promotion of reference architectures and solution patterns.

4. Collaboration and Enablement

• Participates in estimating the budget

• Facilitate collaboration between platform architects, cybersecurity teams, and data governance leads to ensure end-to-end solution integration.

• Depending on experience, mentor and coach other architects within the business domain or product on best practices for solution architecture.

• Foster alignment between product and platform roadmaps to maximize cross-functional synergies.

5. Emerging Technologies and Innovation

• Conduct technology assessments and provide recommendations for emerging solutions that support the product’s evolution.

• Monitor trends in the industry and leverage innovative technologies to address specific product challenges, such as improving scalability, sustainability, and user experience.

compétences requises:

• English: Excellent written and verbal communication.  

• Minimum of 7-10 years in solution architecture roles, including experience in product/platform operating models.

• Strong knowledge of TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Proven experience in translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations, balance priorities, and deliver within tight timelines.

• Proficiency in modern integration approaches (e.g., APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies).

Nice to have: 

• TOGAF Certification.

• Familiarity with AI/ML architectures and their business applications.

• Experience in managing or contributing to Digital Acceleration Plans in complex organizations.

This role can be performed on a hybrid working pattern, where you will attend your local CGI office, as well as in-person client / team meetings. Due to the nature of the work, you must hold / be elligble to achieve security clearance to SC level.

Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role we are looking for an architect that is experienced in establishing and delivering application related transformation programmes. Through excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, you will be able to achieve consensus on technical strategy/solutions and business implications. This will require analysis and understanding of both client business drivers and requirements as well as the current and future delivery and operating process.

As a Solution Architect, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to integrate diverse technical elements into a cohesive solution. Your role will involve coordinating across departments to ensure that each aspect of the solution aligns with broader business objectives and technical standards. Additionally, you’ll foster collaboration and knowledge sharing to address complex challenges, ensure smooth implementation, and enable continuous improvement in delivery processes. This teamwork will be essential in creating application solutions that drive efficiency and support our client’s long-term vision.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
We’re looking for a range of the following skills and experience:

   •   Experience in applications architecture.
   •   Strong skills in design, customer engagement, requirements analysis, risk analysis and agile delivery.
   •   Key skills include design, technical & security governance, agile & waterfall project delivery, risk management and cost estimation.
   •   Solution design: use modelling, decision making and validation techniques to design a solution that fulfils business needs
   •   Integration: create a coherent solution that integrates diverse technology and business aspects
   •   Business analysis: understand and validate stakeholder needs
   •   Change delivery: drive transformation
   •   Cost modelling: analyse financial and risk aspects of solutions

Desired Competencies:

   •   Knowledge of public sector; justice experience in particular is desirable.

The Platform Architecture & Sales Engineering team is a key part of Core Engineering that is responsible for the design of our cloud platform and the architecture, standards and processes of our engineering teams as well as partners that integrate with our platform. The team acts as an architecture centre of excellence, engaging and supporting product teams and partners.
