A global medical device company are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering team on a contract basis. You’ll be joining the Process Development team to help lead a high-profile product transfer for a highly regulated medical device. You’ll help lead re-development activities. For this role you will also need welding experience with medical device products, any type e.g. resistance. You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will need to be able to collaborate with other engineers to ensure project deliverables are met.

Essential skills:

• Mechanical background Medical devices experience Welding experience (not industrial)Product re-development experienceCommunication skills
The start date is for ASAP. The initial contract length is for 12 months, with multiple options to extension after the initial period. The role is based in County Tipperary and will require 4-5 days onsite per week. The rate is EUR50-65 per hour, depending on experience, if you have any expenses please let me know and I can factor that into the rate for you.

This requires the development of a suite of machinery capable of moving, packaging and processing samples while retaining complete sterility. With a small team already in place and significant funding secured this company is looking to bolster the team with additional skilled mechanical engineers. Your background doesn’t need to be in the design of manufacturing equipment for medicines, you are likely to have the right skill set from designing manufacturing equipment in the consumer goods, automotive, aerospace, or digital printing industries.

You’ll be in a team alongside talented engineers and scientists working together towards well-defined goals developing designs that will transform the medical manufacturing industry.
