VIQU has partnered with a leading organisation specialising in advanced system integration within the nuclear sector to recruit a talented Hardware Engineer. Join a world-class team working on innovative projects in highly regulated environments across energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Design hardware systems for control panels using proprietary components, focusing on PLCs, MCCs, Drives & Controls, and Switchgear.

Prepare, review, and verify calculations and design documentation.

Design electrical cabling and containment systems.

Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Travel occasionally for site surveys and customer support.

Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.

Work confidently within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Essential Requirements:

Experience designing electrical panels containing PLCs and LV distribution systems.

Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and/or Eplan P8 – Pro-Panel.

Competent with Microsoft Office (Word and Ex

The Hardware Engineering team:

As a Hardware Engineer you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to formulate and optimise innovative hardware engineering solutions, for products such as Helmet Mounted & Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls, Active Inceptors, and other associated safety-critical technology.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Hardware Engineer to join an innovative company based in Cambridge, specialising in imaging and instrumentation systems. The company develops advanced imaging and spectroscopy systems used across various industries, including pharmaceuticals, materials science, and semiconductor inspection.

As an Hardware Engineer, you will focus on analog and digital circuit design to support the development of high-performance electronics for RF systems. You’ll be responsible for creating and optimising circuits for signal processing, data acquisition, and system control, ensuring the seamless integration of electronics into RF-based instruments.
