We are looking for a Digital Project Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need to show us in your application?

You and your role

As Digital Project Manager, you’ll build and manage stakeholder relationships across our internal teams and suppliers, proactively identifying and managing risks and issues.

You’re a consistent and influential communicator. You know how to communicate across internal and external stakeholders and how to manage team dynamics.

In this role you’ll have ownership of one of our exciting user-centred digital projects, or a significant part of a larger programme. That means you manage all the plans, risks, issues, and dependencies. We’re a massive department, so there is scope to get involved in range of projects that will stretch you.

You’ll be empowered to build your skills and experience through whatever learning and development works best for you. This will include growing your expertise in project management practice, digital frameworks and technologies.

As well as your project team, you will have chance to coach and mentor other members of our project community. You’ll help us encourage collaboration and shared ownership throughout the team, and grow capability in our thriving community of practice.

Location: You’ll join us in your choice of one our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Hybrid Working: We have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly. We work a hybrid model with a mix of home working and sometime in the office.

Pay: In return for your skills, we offer competitive pay of £42,614 p.a.

Pension: You’ll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97% (Worth £12,300/year).

Holidays: You’ll get a generous leave package starting at 24 days, rising to 31 days over time, plus all the usual bank holidays, and the option to take extra days off on flexi leave.
