Qualifications & Skills:

Russell Group University Background
– Degree from one of UK’s top research universities indicates strong analytical skills needed for this role

5+ Years Experience
– Demonstrated experience managing cloud infrastructure at scale

AWS
– Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, S3, RDS etc., necessary for building scalable systems

Terraform
– Expertise required in implementing Terraform modules that build complex infrastructures on AWS

Responsibilities:

* Designing and deploying resilient cloud-based infrastructure solutions using AWS services such as EC2 instances or Lambda functions.
* Implementing automated deployment pipelines leveraging tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipeline.
* Managing production environments by monitoring system health metrics while ensuring high availability levels are maintained through proactive maintenance practices.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll develop robust cloud infrastructure solutions that adhere to best practices in performance, security, and usability. You’ll translate technical designs into real-world implementations, ensuring successful deployment and management, and you’ll utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for the efficient deployment and management of cloud resources.

We’re looking for someone with significant experience in designing and deploying cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on Azure, including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures. You’ll have proven experience as an Engineer, adept at understanding solution architecture and transforming low-level designs into manageable stories and tasks. DevOps skills are essential, specifically with a Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification or equivalent experience, and a strong working knowledge of GitHub for version control and CI/CD workflows.
